I’ve only been working at Kalahari Corporation for a few weeks, and already I feel like I’m in over my head. The work is demanding, the hours are long, and my boss, James, seems to be constantly watching my every move. He’s handsome, in a dangerous sort of way, with piercing blue eyes and a chiseled jawline. But there’s something about him that makes me uneasy.
One evening, as I’m working late to finish a project, I hear the office door creak open. I turn around to see James standing there, a sinister smile playing on his lips. “Working hard, are we?” he asks, his voice smooth like silk.
I nod, trying to maintain my professional demeanor. “Yes, I want to make sure everything is perfect for the presentation tomorrow.”
James chuckles, the sound sending shivers down my spine. “Oh, I’m sure you’ll do just fine. But I have a different sort of presentation in mind for you tonight.”
Before I can respond, he’s on me, his hands gripping my wrists tightly. I struggle against him, but he’s too strong. He drags me towards his office, kicking the door shut behind us.
“Let me go!” I cry, my heart pounding in my chest.
