Stephanie stumbled through the dimly lit park, her high heels clicking on the pavement as she navigated the winding path. The cool night air did little to sober her up, her mind still fuzzy from the cocktails she’d indulged in at the office party. Her husband, Tom, was probably already asleep, waiting for her to come home and slip into bed beside him. But tonight, Stephanie had other plans.
As she rounded a bend, she noticed a figure huddled beneath a nearby tree. A homeless man, by the looks of it, his tattered clothes and unkempt appearance stark against the manicured park. Stephanie quickened her pace, suddenly feeling vulnerable in the secluded space. But the man rose to his feet, blocking her path.
“Well, well, what do we have here?” he growled, his eyes roaming over her curvy figure. “A lost little lamb, all alone in the dark?”
Stephanie’s heart raced as she tried to sidestep him, but he moved with surprising speed, grabbing her arm in a vice-like grip. “Let go of me!” she cried, struggling against his hold.
The man chuckled darkly, his breath hot against her ear. “Oh, I don’t think so, sweetheart. You’re not going anywhere until I’ve had my fill.”
